Susana Martinez (born July 14, 1959) is an American politician and attorney who served as the 31st governor of New Mexico from 2011 to 2019. A Republican, she served as chair of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) from 2015 to 2016. She is the first female Governor of New Mexico, first Hispanic female governor in the United States, and the first woman of color governor in the United States.
